Circadian Rhythm

From the hour of Zero at a temperature resembling the time of day, a frost bitten world awakens. The ice trembles, breaking under its own weight as the degrees rise with the hours. Time is relative to temperature, as temperature is relative to life anew. The water breaks down from its icy beds and steam rises to greet the suns fawning over the horizon; pushing their heavenly warmth and providing the necessary heat to bring this primordial cradle to life.

A body awakens; microscopic and awkward in appearance. It comes to term in minutes and dies within the hour, as the heat incinerates the shell that once carried life. The plants thrive and even the bacteria is given a chance to enjoy this morbidly tropical climate.

The suns begin to disappear beyond the view of the high mountains and the half moon wanes into the night. The steam dies, slowing its climb to the sky and attaching to the hills and rocks as thick condensation finds a solid state upon the map. A crisp chill ends the day of ferocious summer and leads the world into a cocoon of winter as it wraps the landscape in an icy blanket. Time now rescinds its offer of increasing heat and in trade imparts the opposite. Ice hardens, winds flurry, an arctic grey disguises all visibility and a world finds rest once again.
